Hi, I’m Mary… the face behind Rakotta.
I started this salon because I felt something was missing from the industry: care. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and helped to feel their best, not rushed through an appointment.
Rakotta is my answer to that. A sanctuary for slow beauty, where you can relax, unwind, and actually learn about your hair while we take care of it together.

Book your preferred service or arrange a complimentary consultation if you're unsure what your hair needs.
Arrive Ready to Relax
Please arrive with clean, dry hair and bring two inspiration pictures to help us understand your vision. Then sit back, relax, and get ready to be pampered.
Your Personalised Colour Journey
Every colour appointment is individually crafted around you. Beautiful colour takes time, and protecting your hair's health and integrity is always a priority. Please allow flexibility in your schedule after your appointment, as your service may take longer than anticipated.
Your Colour Safety Check
During your consultation, we'll assess your needs and carry out the appropriate allergy testing. A patch test is required at least 48 hours before any colour service for your safety.
The Standards We Keep
We recognize salon appointments can be restorative sanctuaries. You are always welcome to request a silent appointment upon booking—no small talk, just quiet music, gentle touch, and space to rest, or simply breathe.

We believe in transparent pricing, with your service and its agreed inclusions explained during consultation, so you understand what to expect before your appointment begins. No unnecessary surprises—just honest advice, thoughtful recommendations, and a personalised approach to your hair.
